So about that feeling of fatigue, low energy, brain fog , depressive mood, salt and sweet cravings. this article from Harvard Medical School discusses the adrenal fatigue theory, which suggests that prolonged exposure to stress could drain the adrenals leading to a low cortisol state. Western medicine doesn't always recognize this theory but plenty of people are suffering with these symptoms and looking for relief.

The fluctuations in hormones with a woman's monthly cycle or menopause can cause a variety of symptoms from insomnia, weight gain, acne, irritability, digestive problems, hot flashes, appetite, changes, moodiness, headaches, and more.
