Winter Solstice: How to Tend to Your Energy Reserves
The Winter Solstice is the darkest day of the year. The light starts to increase from this point. The days will get longer and the nights shorter from here until June. Kinda feels like something to celebrate?! Many cultures around the world have been celebrating this event, as our ancestors were very impacted by the amount of light in a day and understood the depths of darkness.
Light a candle for yourself, to honor the dark within and the return of the light.
This time also marks the entering into the Winter season. Anyone feeling a bit tired? Perfect. It’s the natural time for rest. Just look around, Nature is having her downtime, plants are dormant & underground, life is still.
Our minds are used to going nonstop, this concept of stillness and resting can be a tough one.
Maybe we can keep the mind on the side for a bit. It doesn’t always need center stage.
Aligning with the Energy of Winter allows for mystery and possibility. Going inward with the depth of Winter brings in the magic of allowing. No doing. No trying. No efforting. Just allowing.
The space and rest that is created with Winter Energy is very powerful. And it’s not from our minds or ‘figuring it out’. As we unplug from the external noise and plug into the space and stillness; the wisdom of our bodies that speaks to us in so many ways is uncovered. The answers are simple and come from our depths.
I love the aspects of living with the cycles and seasons and am always excited to share more about the energy of the seasons - and how we can tune in and align with the energy that is all around us.
